What is Bitcoin? What is cryptocurrency? How and why were they created? Professor Lamont Black will provide a “101” introduction to the basic concepts behind the cryptocurrency market.

2:30 p.m. The Current State of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency as an Asset Class
In our first panel, we will discuss the evolution of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as an asset class. The focus will be on the recent volatility in the cryptocurrency market. Panelists will provide an overview of the various market participants and explain potential drivers for the changes in valuation.
