Coleman Circle Meet & Greet with Aashish Dalal of ParkWhiz on 4/21

The Coleman Circle is pleased to welcome Aashish Dalal, Co-Founder and CEO of e-parking leader, ParkWhiz, to its next gathering on Tuesday, April 21st at Grind LaSalle from 6-8pm. Aashish, a DePaul alum, will speak about how he launched and has grown ParkWhiz into a market leader, and share his thoughts on the future of mobile apps.

The Coleman Circle is a new network of business professionals who are passionate about entrepreneurship and who want to support the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center. Participants in the Coleman Circle demonstrate their commitment to Entrepreneurship at DePaul with an annual $1,000 contribution to the Center, and help expand the reach and impact of the network.

Coleman Circle Meet & Greet with John Hoesley on 2/17

The Coleman Circle is a new community of business professionals who share a passion for entrepreneurship and want to support DePaul’s Coleman Entrepreneurship Center.
Partners of the Coleman Circle have access to special events, and on Tuesday, February 17th, 6-7:30pm at Theory, we will be gathering with special guest, John Hoesley. Mr. Hoesley, former Managing Director of Silicon Valley Bank, and recently appointed Managing Director of The PrivateBank’s new technology group, will give an informal presentation on the rising trends in entrepreneurship in Chicago. This evening is specifically designed for DePaul Alumni or entrepreneurial business professionals interested in joining the Coleman Circle.
Why do individuals become Coleman Circle partners? They want to:

  • give back to the university
  • give forward to build the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center and the next generation of entrepreneurs
  • get to know on a personal and professional level other entrepreneurial supporters of DePaul and the Center
Participating professionals in the Coleman Circle are committed to supporting the Center on an annual basis ($1,000 donation) and to expanding the reach and impact of the network.

Sharpen Your Launch DePaul Submission at our Workshop on 3/5

LDP Workshop 2. DePaul students, are you ready to submit your new business idea to the Launch DePaul judges? Don’t miss our final workshop in March before the April 1st submission deadline!

Join us on Thursday, March 5, from 3:30-5:30pm in Room 5903 of the DePaul Center for our next Launch DePaul Workshop, “Submitting Your Best Team Entry.” Three distinguished leaders from Chicago’s entrepreneurial community will assist you in creating your best possible entry, increasing your chances of winning from this year’s larger prize pool of $17,000 at the May 5th Awards Ceremony.

Brian Bauer, Director of the Startup Leadership Program; Rania El-Sorrogy, Executive Director of Hatch Valley (DePaul Alum and previous Launch DePaul winner); and Michael Stadnicki, Co-Founder of Launch Franchise Development and Partner at Big Cheese Poutinerie (DePaul Alum), will answer your questions and provide insights on how to refine your business idea and present your best pitch.

This workshop is the chance to get your final questions answered as you prepare to submit your team entry by April 1st. Bring your business idea to entrepreneurs to gain their expert feedback and hear stories from their own entrepreneurial journeys as you embark on yours.
