Applications now open for DePaul’s first Purpose Pitch Competition, held May 11 at 1871. More info at

We believe purpose is innate within any company and has to be accessed to reach its full potential. We want you to pitch us; not on what you do but why you do it. We believe your purpose can be summed up into three words: simple, genuine, and aspirational. We want to see what your company can bring to the table to inspire others and lead a transformative movement throughout the interactions you have.

DePaul University’s Coleman Entrepreneurship Center is hosting the first Purpose Pitch with 1871 to explore the ideas of purpose driven startups within the city. The Purpose Pitch will be a unique pitch session where startups pitch their greater purpose and how they plan to fulfill that purpose through their business objectives instead of pitching investors on the product itself. The pitches will be judged and the winner will receive a monetary award from the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center to help develop their startup and a feature interview on advisor.TV. This event is for those interested in attending the Purpose Pitch as an audience member. Tickets not purchased here will be $45 at-the-door. To apply to pitch, apply on the Purpose Pitch site.
